Those option are not available in free version you have to upgrade to pro version to hide/edit those section, However you can hide those section via custom CSS in free version as well just go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below custom CSS code

The recommended size of an image is 728px X 90px and yes this image will be seen in mobile, if you want to hide in mobile devices you can hide it as well.

If you set the posts in the banner you must set the featured Image for each individual posts. We have designed the banner this way. If you do not want to show banner you can hide it or you can choose category posts which have featured images.
