Sorry we haven’t updated our theme to new version also by updating the theme custom CSS wont disappeared nor we will make it disappear, there may be some other reason that it disappeared.

To hide the post date and author link from the home-page posts and just author in the posts single page just login to your admin dashboard and go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below custom CSS code:

.home .post-block .entry-meta,
.single .entry-meta .author  {
    display: none;
}
.home .post-block .entry-meta.category-meta {
   display: block;
}

We have set the different image size for different parts of sections to match the height. If we shown the same images for the different parts of sections there will be height a problem.
We have designed the theme this way for better user experience.
