We are the new theme shop at that time and we have not integrate any email subscribe service and also we think that we can not send an email to premium users because they have not subscribe to our newsletter but when it comes about the security issue in the theme then we think that it’s our responsibility to aware our premium users about the revolution slider critical vulnerability and decide to send an email for all our premium users to update the plugin.

Who knows the future if we know it then we will be sure that we will never packed it inside the theme. We packed it inside the theme for only to have more flexibility on the theme slider and it was the most popular plugin as well.

Also we have already updated the theme with fixing the deactivating issue in the Revolution Slider Plugin.

Oh! We missed some css code for blockquote paragarph. You can add it via custom css as well to do that Go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Design Options Tab -> Custom CSS paste the following CSS code and Click on save all changes button:

Hi Kate,

Yes first activate the theme to any one and delete the old version and reinstall the new version. If you have customize the the code in you parent theme (old version) then first back-up your old version before deleting it.

Then it means your free one year subscription has been expired OR you have cancel the subscription before expire.
If your subscription has expired then you have to renew your subscription to get access to the support forum as well as to get the theme update file.

We can not automatically notify/update the theme in WP because our pro themes are of subscription type and you have to manually activate it. About Revolution Slider Plugin we have also updated it manually in our demo site and we have not faced any sliders/settings lost. All our sliders and setting are working perfectly. To update the revolution slider first deactivate the plugin and delete it then upload the new latest version and activate it. That’s it you have to do for Revolution Slider plugin.

And for theme update first activate a different theme and delete the old version of the theme then upload the new version of the theme and activate it. If you have not customize the code then we are sure that you will not lost any data/setting lost but if you customize the code then your all customize code will be lost. So, first back up your previous version of the theme and then only activate the new one if you have customize the code.

If you have the latest version then its fine. You do not have to update the theme. And how it is possible that your all sliders got wiped out. Your all the setting and slider will remain with the same settings.
We can not provide automatic update for the version because our themes are of subscription type and you have to manually update it. You have to update it manually your data and setting will not be lost if you have not customize if you have customize the code then only your customize data will be lost. So you have to backup it before deleting previous version.

Yes you have to pay $15 per year to get update and to get access to the dedicated support forum access.
If your subscription have already expired then just click on the RENEW button to renew your subscription.
Without renewing your subscription you can not download the update file nor get access to support forum.
Its only one year free from the purchase date.

Your child theme will still work you do not have to set that all again and again.
We only means to say that if you have customize the code in them main parent theme then only your data will be lost and you have to backup it before deleting it.
