Can you please share us your site Url? So that we can look into your issue.
We have checked and found that widgets sections are working fine in front page sidebar. However, WordPress released a new version with new editor as a widget settings.
You can disable those feature and get the standard edit setting by activating this plugin.
Just activate it and you will see the same settings for widgets as previous.
