Just login to your admin dashboard and go to Settings > Reading there you will see Blog pages show at most option to increase/decrease the post number into your blog.

Can you please provide us your site Url? So that we can see the exact issue.
Also if you have created the child theme below Attitude version 4.0 than you need to update your child theme as of the parent theme. We have removed previous old menu script and added new script to support new responsive menu for better user experience from version 4.0

Adding caption by editing the media images as editor or adding it via image attachment is the same field, you can add it via both option and both are the same field to add the caption into your images. There are no two caption fields for media images which works as different purposes.

For to hide the meta data from the posts just login to your dashboard and go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste below custom CSS code.
