Please post your topic on interface pro forum. If you like modification on the theme then only child theme is required otherwise you don’t need child theme. You have to create a child theme by your self.

If you have customized on the code then your customized code will be lost while updating but if there is no code customization and inside code in custom css then no worry about update. Nothing will be lost while updating to new version. Nothing will be lost and your widgets will also not loss while updating.

There might be some plugin conflict with the theme. I don’t think there is any issue in the theme related to site identity. So first deactivate all plugins one by one and test it still you have that issues or not. If still you have an issues then let us know.

Sorry for late reply. We are on weekend. We will not be available on Saturday and Sunday. If you like to remove a slider from blog page then goto dashboard -> settings -> reading -> and don’t select post page.
What you do is go to dashboard -> page -> create blog page and at right side template click on blog image large template.

We support excerpt content. So vimeo and youtube image is not displayed as it supports only plain text. You youtube and vimeo video will be displayed on the single page.

If you like to display it on front page then code customization is required. Goto theme folder -> inc -> structure -> content-extension.php on line no 113 and 140 you will find this code <?php the_excerpt(); ?> and replace it with <?php the_content(); ?>
Remember we recommended you not to change the code but if you change the code then create a child theme so that while updating to new version your customized code will not be lost.

Which theme are you using? Are you premium or free users? If you are premium users then provide your support questions on interface premium forum. If you have an issues then we need to look onto your dashboard. What you do is first deactivate all the plugins one by one and see if there is any plugin conflict with the theme or not.
<p>Also please provide us the temporary username and password and also your site url via email so that we can see the exact issue into your site. </p>

Hi eco_p,

You cannot remove footer and we cannot help you. IF you are good at coding then you can customize the code but create child theme while customizing the code because while updating to new version your customized code will not be lost. Upgrade to premium features will helps to remove the credit link as it is our premium feature.

We did not see any strange symbol. The strange symbol occurs when your language is not in english. We have filtered the certain character. So code customization is required to fix it.

Yes you can upload header image with simple text. Better create an image using photo shop and you can design on your own style.

If you are a premium user then please add your support on ambition premium forum. To search box, Recent Post, Archives etc. goto dashboard -> appearance -> widgets and drag and drop Search, Recent Post archive widgets to right sidebar.

Yes download a fresh copy of interface free theme from wordpress.org. Login to ftp inside public_html/wp-content/themes/interface/ and add fresh functions.php file.
