Hi, I usually link direct to already minimized files for typical page images, but on posts have to upload them via WP, which resizes to different sizes and renders them at maximum file size. Is there any way to link direct to images (say from theme folder) on posts or any way to compress them to smaller file sizes. Im aware of the plugin for this but apparently it doesn’ work all that great, is there any other way?

For this you have to use some compress image software to reduce the file size as well as image size.
