Could you please send the url of your site? If you have chosen the side bar from the theme options then it must work. To overwrite the sidebar, selected from the theme options go to specific page/ post and below there is also the layout for specific page. Here selected layout will overwrite the layout of theme options.

Hi Jennifer,
We have designed our theme this way. We don’t have this feature in our theme so you need code customisation for it.We recommended not to change the code because if you change the code then while updating to our new version all your customisation code will be lost. So better make child theme and first unhook the functions and the edit the code.

The file is inside theme folder -> inc -> widgets -> interface_widgets.php
How to create widgets child theme ?
==> In functions.php of the child theme, create your widgets and register them. Just copy the parent widget, change the name of widget like Theme Horse Child: Featured Page Widget, make customisation and create your custom widget. If you do this, the widgets of parent theme and child both will appear. Use your custom widget of child theme instead of the parent theme.

Just making same file structure in the child theme like /library/widgets won’t overwrite the parent file. Hope this helps.

We have update our theme compatible to WordPress 4.0 and disable some function that make error for the site.
Login to our site with the same username and password while you have purchase the theme and download the latest version of the theme.
If you have still one year subscription you will have access to the download the update file.
IF you have not customise the code then you can delete the perviously installed theme and install it. You got theme install failed because there is already same file in you ftp.
Before deleting any theme its a good idea to backup files.

Just go to the dashboard -> appearance -> theme options -> advance options -> edit footer options

From here you can edit “Theme by: Theme Horse Powered by: WordPress”.

Add the images as the recommended size of image and use # redirect Link

Login to our site with the same username and password while you have purchase the theme and download the latest version of the theme.
If you have still one year subscription you will have access to the download the update file. After doing this just activate any of the theme eg:- twenty fourteen and then if you haven’t change any code then you are safe to update and delete the interface theme. Add the new theme from dashboard -> appearance -> themes
