We recommended not to change the code because if you change the code then while updating to our new version all your customisation code will be lost. So better make child theme and first unhook the functions and the edit the code.

If you have placed it in the right order then once please deactivate all the plugins that you have installed. Some time there may be plugin conflict in the CSS too.

Hi claude,
First of all create a child theme. And under it create a two files style.css and function.php.In functions.php of the child theme, create your widgets and register them. Just copy the parent widget, change the name of widget like Theme Horse Child: Featured Page Widget, make customisation and create your custom widget. If you do this, the widgets of parent theme and child both will appear. Use your custom widget of child theme instead of the parent theme.

Just making same file structure in the child theme like /library/widgets won’t overwrite the parent file.

We have designed our theme this way. If you want to display certain category in home page then only it is possible otherwise you need code customisation for it. So you need to hire a developer.

To assign a category in home page
Go to dashboard -> appearance -> theme options -> Advance Options -> Homepage / Frontpage Category Setting

Select the category to display it in front page.
Then go to dashboard -> setting -> reading-> select your latest post and click on save button.

To eliminate it you need add custom css for it. Yes you may use it to some site or many sites but the support will be provided for only one site. I just visited to you site and you have removed the title bar. You need to do the same as you have done in the above site link
