I HAVE DESIGNED THE IMAGE BASED ON THE DEMO SITES SLIDER’S GRAPHIC SIZE, BUT MY IMAGE DOES NOT FILL THE SCREEN AND THE GRAPHIC IS BLOWN UP SO IT DOES NOT EVEN FIT IN THE SLIDER…

I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS TO IMPLEMENT… IS IT BECAUSE I AM ON THE FREE VERSION AND NEED PRO?

I think you have implemented this theme in wrong way.
The Id of page / or post must be used in the dashboard -> appearance -> theme options -> featured post /page slider
In this section you need to place it id of particular page / post
