the Google Speed Test tells my that the external script http://platform.linkedin.com/in.js is blocking the site from rendering.
I tried to find the loop or plugin which calls for that external script to load but didn’t find it. Is that call for that externel LI script part of the Ambition Pro theme? If so, how can I remove it?

There is no any such scripts on Ambition pro. To make confirm you can even check on our demo site. Might be it is injected from some plugins. So once deactivate plugins one by one that you have installed on your dashboard. Also check on post editor or text widget section too.
