    Hi (again) guys,

I’d like to report what seems to be a bug in the theme.

If I add a TAG to a PAGE, the article doesn’t get formatted in the TAG visualization:

Also TAGs don’t appear in the PAGEs themselves (I think they should).

I wonder if this may be related to the last WP version. I noticed it has some issues with TAGs too. For example I can’t modify them inside an article — changes are not saved — I need to do withing “quick change”.

    Thanks

Update, my TAGs issues were because of a plugin (simple tags).

    Ehm, can’t edit posts? 🙂

I was referring to the last sentence of the first post.

I still have issues with theme if I add tags to pages (I don’t think I can do it on vanilla WP but lot of plugins let you do it, and I think it’s very useful to be able to use TAGs in pages as well).

    Hi Locksoft,

Can you please share us the plugin that you have used to create a tags for pages.
Also did you try it on default WP theme?

    Thank you!

The plugin I was using is “simple tags”. I mainly installed because it adds a better looking tag cloud widget. I didn’t know it also lets you add tags to pages, a function that it’s not available in vanilla WP. To be honest I didn’t realize it because on my main blog I use a specific plugin (“Category Tag Pages”) that adds tags to pages, so I was thinking it was a standard thing.

At the moment “simple tags” is disabled, because it has issues with the last version of WP (it interfere with editor so, if you change tags there, they’re not saved). But, beside the better looking widget I used it because it showed all available tags in editor window, and it’s very important to me, so I won’t forget to assign them.

Anyway it seems FolioPress doesn’t manage tagged pages at all. I didn’t try one of WP standar themes because I’ve removed them but I tried another third party one and it correctly manages them.

    Hi Locksoft,

Sorry! We can not guaranty that all the third party plugins work well in our theme. We only support core feature into the theme
To support third party plugins theme some time needs extra code. So if you need to add those tags features into the pages you need to hire a developer as this is a completely new feature to add in the theme regarding plugins support.

    Thank you!

Yes, that’s clear. I already removed that plugin. The problem I reported is that the theme doesn’t correctly shows pages, if they have tags connected. They’re shown in the search but without any formatting, like in the screenshot I’ve shown you.

    Hello Locksoft,

Yes the theme doesn’t shows tag pages same as category posts (archive), as the tag on pages are completely new feature which was not a core WP feature and was added by plugins.

    Thank you!
