Redesigning a site, and have WordPress files in a separate folder as the new site is still under construction. It’s set up like this: http://www.theoldsite.com/wordpress (theoldsite is NOT the actual site name).

Though images upload to media library, once placed as header logo or favicon, and I hit “Save Changes,” thought it looks like the link is good, the logo and favicon don’t show up. I sized both jpg and png images to be exactly 300 pixels wide (header logo) and 36 pixels wide (favicon). When I check FTP, images show up in uploads folder.

Suggestions?

Hi KlearlDEA,

For uploading favicon Go to Appearance->Theme Options->Design Options->Fav Icon Option and upload the favicon image. Then click save all changes

For header logo Go to Appearance->Theme Options->Design Options->Custom Header and upload the header logo. Then click save all changes

I put in a favicon url under design options -> favicon, the preview looks fine, but it’s just not showing up on the website.

Any help is much appreciated.

If you can post link to your site it will be easier for us to look at. Also you can change the image format to png or jpg and upload it again.
