    Hi,

    I installed this template because of the slider homepage. But now that I’ve created my site, I don’t think I can do a true slider on the homepage. If I am figuring this out correctly, it looks like I can only have 2 images on the home page, is that correct?

    If so, is there a slider plug-in that I can use on the home page?

    Thanks very much!

    Hi victoria_locascio,

    No you can add more than two images slider in Home page. As well as you can use the slider plugin but you have to customize the code. IF you purchase the Pro version of Ultimate theme it supports revolution slider plugin. For that you have to purchase the plugin individually and use it in Ultimate Pro.

    Thank you!

    Hi

    Thanks for the quick response! I’m not doing something right to get a slider. I thought I followed the directions. Added a new page and went to “set featured image” and picked the image that I want in the slider. I did this with 3 images by creating 3 pages. Then I went to the business template and selected the services widget, and then picked these 3 pages as the 3 items in the slider. I’ve attached screenshots of the widget section, and also what they look like on my home page. Something isn’t right! Can you please help? And also, there are only 3 places to add a page under this widget, so how can I add 5 or 6 images? Oh shoot…I can’t add screenshots to this message? You can see the home page here: victorialocascio.com

    THANKS!

    Hi Theme Horse,

    Any idea about my last message and why this slider won’t work on my home page? So frustrating but I must be doing something wrong and can’t figure it out!

    Thanks so much!

    Hi victoria_locascio,

    Once you go through this link how to set up slider
    https://www.themehorse.com/theme-instruction/ultimate/#slider

    Ok fine you created 3 pages with featured image right. Then go to dashboard -> appearance-> theme options -> featured post/ page slider. Now view this below screenshot.

    Hope this may help you
    Thank you!

    Thanks so much for the help. Unfortunately, I still can’t get it to work!

    Am I supposed to be creating a new “page” or new “post”? I can set the featured image on either a page or post so I’m confused as to which one I am supposed to be using.

    I have created both a new page and a new post, but neither work in the slider. In fact, if you look at my home page now, somehow the About page is showing up on the home page (on top of the images)!

    If the page ID or the Post ID, the number that appears highlighted when you click on edit?

    Thanks!

    Hi victoria_locascio,

    Did you view the screenshot. Yes you have created the page/ Post that’s fine. Now find the id of that post/ page by hovering on edit page/ post or youedit your page/ post. At the top of Url you will see somehow like this
    wp-admin/post.php?post=111&action=edit

    Where page id is 111
    Then go to dashboard -> appearance-> theme options -> featured post/ page slider. Now view this below screenshot.

    Hope this may help you

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    Yes, I did view that screenshot but I still can’t get it work.
    When you say page/post…I find that confusing! Do I create a page with my featured image, or do I create a post with my featured image. They are 2 different things.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    I was using the wrong post ID! I didn’t realize I had to click in the “get shortcode” to get the correct post ID. I now have a slider!! But, on each slide, it has a number (which is the title of the post) and it says “Read more”.

    Is there any way to get rid of the title and the read more?

    Also, under my slider, it shows images of all the slides…can this be turned off so it is just the slider?

    Thanks!!

    PS..I figured out how to remove the images under the slides by removing pages!

    So, just need to know how to get rid of the title and the read more?

    Also, is there a way to make the contact info text in the bottom light blue bar black instead of white? It’s really tough to read white on that light blue.

    THANK YOU!

    PS…I figured out how to change the color of the bottom bar so no need to change the font color.

    So, I just need to know how to get rid of the title and the read more on each slider image.

    Sorry for the numerous emails!

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Any ideas for how to remove the title and “Read More” on each slider image?

    I tried these 2 things but they didn’t work, and I’m out of ideas!

    (1) I put this in the main stylesheet:
    .slider_content a.button { display: none!important; }

    (2) I put this in the custom CSS box:
    #featured-slider .slider-read-more-button {
    display: none;
    }

    Thanks!

    Hi victoria_locascio,
    To remove the title and “Read More” on each slider image go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Design Options Tab -> Custom CSS paste the following CSS code and Click on save all changes button:

    .featured-text .featured-title, .featured-slider .call-to-action {
        display: none;
    }

    Thank you!

    Hello,

    It worked!!! Thanks so much…the site is starting to look pretty good 🙂

    2 final questions:

    Is there a way to override the font for the entire site? Or can I do it page by page?

    Is there a way to remove the Theme and WordPress line in the footer? I want to add some text to the © 2015 part.

    THANKS SO MUCH!! Great theme 🙂

    Hi Victoria,

    Sorry to change the font for the entire site and to remove the theme and WordPress line in the footer you have to upgrade it to premium version.

    Thank you!
