Say I’ve got my header image, my websites logo. But all of a sudden, Cadillac wants to buy a banner space for a header. Not a footer, not a side bar widget, not anything but the very top of the page.

How do I add a second header or a banner ad? And if you tell me to enter a code, please tell me exactly where to go to enter said code. I mean, exact. I am a total novice and I know how to cut and paste the code … Just don’t know where to put it.

Any ideas?

You can add one header logo and one header image also.
to add header banner then go to dashboard-> appearance -> header (from here you may add header image)

For the logo
go to dashboard-> appearance -> theme-options -> design options -> header logo

If you are still not satisfy then you may change it from theme folder -> inc -> structure -> header – extension.php on line no 341

From here you may change the code.

okay it worked, but i’m still a little confused.

the header image, which is the one that should be the ad, is 1440×300, and my logo, which i set as the header logo, is smaller than the actual ad.

as far as adding CODE – you suggest i go to the theme folder. where is that? where do i find the theme folder?

The header image size is 1400 * 300. It is recommended size. It is inside interface-> inc -> structure-> header-extension.php

The header image is displayed from this page. You need code customization.
