Hi

I wish to have a static home page when your first open my site and a blog page separate. Home page – no sidebar, blog page with sidebar. I have tried opening a home page, what do I put under the option of parent. I have played around with the setting, reading, Design Options etc. and I cannot seem to get this too work. http://www.lemonpathcom.

Hi Lemonpath,

First edit the page that you want to set it as your front page and at the bottom of the editor page you will see layout setting. Set the setting to No sidebar, Full Width Now set this page as your front page via Settings > Reading and also set any page as your blog page.

This is how its set up in my Page List. Posts Page and Front Page

Blog — Posts Page
Start Page — Front Page

I have followed the above instructions.

Both pages are now my posts/blog page with no sidebar?

Please advise settings under Design Options – Default Layout Options, Home Page Layout Options, and Screen Options on both pages.

Are you trying to set the Home page as no sidebar and blog page with sidebar?

if so please edit the page that you have set as your front page (home page) at the bottom of the page editor you will see layout setting. Set the setting to No sidebar, Full Width and for all the page layout you can set it via Design Options – Default Layout Options.
