First, I’d just like to say that I really love the Interface theme!

Here’s my problem:
When I link to my website on social media, there’s a blank box where the website’s featured image should be. Maybe it’s not called the featured image in this case, but I mean the image that should pop up.

When I go to post a link to my website on any social media, I get a blank box like you see in this screen shot screen shot. This is a Facebook example, but it’s blank for all social media. It does not connect with the featured image for my home page. Thanks for your help.

Hi manderava,
You mean that your social icons is not displayed ? It is displayed in the footer. To enable it in header you need to enable it from dashboard -> appearance -> theme options -> contact/ social links -> contact info bar -> and uncheck for top info bar. Then this will displayed in the header.

View this screenshot its working fine in footer and also link to your facebook social icon.

This is the social icons to appear only in header and footer. We have only this feature and if you want other than this then you need to hire a developer to fix it.

No, that’s not what I mean. I mean that there is no featured image. You can see in my screen shot that there is a blank box (that says upload image) because my featured image does not work for my home page. How can I enable the featured image on this page? It doesn’t work like the pages on the rest of the website.

You have selected the business template for you home page so the featured image for home page is not displayed. To display your featured image then you need to select the default template but the layout of your site will be changed. If you want featured image to be displayed in home page using business template then it needs code customization so you need to hire a developer.

i’m using the interface, but i’m quite surprised by what you answered to mandi.

i have the same problem and i’d like to be sure i’ve understood. The code is clearly calling a blank image as shown below on the last line, but this is only for default template (example is for my website) ?

Hi manderava and Bru,

Try using Yoast plugin to display featured image for your home page for different social profiles as well as for better SEO too.
We have set the featured images for the post and the page not for the home page.
