Dear Theme-Horse,
I finally managed to finish the child-theme based on NewsCard Premium. Most changes are pure ccs but some are thing were done in the code (all on the child-theme). The thing I really needed to change for myself was the featured image on the posts. If the post was a multipage post the image appeared on every page. I “enriched” the customizer so that it is possible to select “only on first page” or “default”. I also tried to keep the child css as responsive as possible. Hard thing to do.
Currently the site only runs unsecure on http://k1600gt.nl – I have some issue with the new reverse proxy. WordPress and the reverse proxy don’t mix yet.. Will come to that later..
Thanks for the support so far!
Regards

Everything is okay. Since my website it now “live” I can start focussing on other aspects such as creating widget from existing widgets for even more customization such as truly random post. I know WordPress has those functions. Thinking about changing the “Footer Featured Posts” and “Card/Block” widgets so it is able to gets random post from any or a specific category. Not planning of changing the main-theme. All would be done using the child-theme.
Still happy that I choose this theme.
Thanks,
