Hi there,
I was trying to change the themes #63C6AE colour to #D51C3B to match the company’s logo in a couple of places (site title, slider areas) and I seem to have upset the whole layout!
As far as I’m aware I haven’t deleted or added text where it shouldn’t be etc.
Any ideas why this has happened? I had successfully set up some great looking services, recent work etc and now it’s looking a bit of a mess. I can deactivate the Under Construction if anyone wants to have a look.
I know you’re going to tell me next time I should have a child theme before I start messing! I need to learn how to do that.
Any help on how to get the CSS as it should be (this is all I have tried to change – is it possible to copy and paste the default CSS from somewhere for example??) would be appreciated!January 28, 2015 at 5:33 am #21267Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi catherine,
Yes we always recommended to make a child theme before making any changes in theme to be safe from data loss while updating to our new version.
You may also change the CSS code from Dashboard-> Appearance -> Theme Options -> Design Options Tab -> Custom CSS paste the CSS code and Click on save all changes button
If you change only the Colour code #63C6AE to #D51C3B to match the company’s logo then there will not be any loss of content.Thank you!

Can you point me in the direction of a helpfile on creating a child theme??
Thank you again,
Catherine

You may visit to this link for creating child theme.

If you are unable to create a Child Theme then you may also use Custom CSS to over ride the parent CSS too.Thank You!
