Apologies for the late reply.
Anyways we have updated theme adding privacy policy link to the footer. Make sure that you have set Privacy Policy page via Settings > Privacy from you WP admin.We really appreciate your feedback.

What do you meant by adding links (plural) to the footer? We have update the theme to support WordPress privacy policy link which you can add from Settings > Privacy from you WP admin.
If you need to add your own content/links in the footer then you have to customize the theme code or you need to upgrade it to premium version where you can add your own link easily.
