Please go to ‘Appearance > Customize > Advance Options > Edit Footer Options’ and use the below code to and link.

Note: Replace # with the URL link and Desired Text in place of ‘abc’

Hello, there are no “advance options” in my customize menu, neither do I see “edit footer options”. Thanks

I fixed it. In my theme the option is in Customize/Footer/Info/Edit info and there is the place to add the theme. Also the very important thing was to add “http://” because otherwise the link was searched as a page in my website.
