I’d like to add a logo in place of the site name in the header – BUT I WANT TO KEEP THE SITE DESCRIPTION BELOW THE LOGO.
I’m using a child theme, but I am unsure as to where I should place this element.

    Wordpress 3.9
    Interface theme (using child theme)

Any direction you can give me?

hi we don’t have this feature. You can include the text in image. Sorry for that. We have designed our theme this way.
    Thank you

Hey vicky, upload your logo to the media library. Then go to APPEARANCE> THEME OPTIONS

On that page, you’ll select DESIGN OPTIONS. There’s a place to put the URL for the logo or image (that you added to the library).
Select SHOW – header logo only.

    Then SAVE ALL CHANGES

    Thank chickenjoenc
Yes there is the options inside theme-options->design->options
From there you are able to put the logo of your site.
    Thank you
