thanks for your answer. I had already checked this option.
Problem is that we have a separate page for our blog – it is not shown on the home page. That separate page is a static page using one of your “Blog…” templates (in our case: “Blog Image Medium”).
And for such blog pages the option that you mention does NOT remove the slider related postings.

Is there any solution for our problem?
