There is nothing new. We fixed the depricated header image code. Please don’t make direct code customization in the code. If you need to customize the code then create a child theme so that while updating to new version your customized code will not be lost.

This version is an important version. It is compatible with version 4.7. Currently there is no any effect if you don’t update to latest version but on late php7 their you might get some deprecated notice on your dashboard. If you have not customized the code then nothing will be lost. So if you have customized the code then its always recommended you to create a child theme and customize the code rather than customizing in parent theme.

Yes if you add post/page id from customizer then slider will work. Visit theme instruction how slider will work.

First create any page/post with title, text and featured image. Go to Appearance->Customize/Theme Options->Featured Posts/Pages slider and add post/page id. If you still have an issue let us know.

Featured image will be displayed on your default gird layout where it is a latest post. If you click on the specific post then featured image will not be diplayed. If you like to display image on that page then you have to add an image on the editor to diplay it.
Go to dashboard -> settings -> reading (and select your latest post display).

This is a premium features. Upgrading to premium version you can change the value of excerpt from customizer. If you like to change the code then goto theme folder -> inc -> functions -> functions.php on line no 148 change value 50 to any value you want.

We recommended you not to change the code. If you change the code then while updating to new version all your customized code will be lost. So better make a child theme so that your customized code will not be lost.
