MemberHi – I was hoping for more page templates in the pro version. Is there a way I can copy the “contact page” template and rename it to “content page”?
I tried to copy the file “page-template-contact.php” and renamed it to “page-template-content.php”. I also edited the file to match the new name.
It now shows up in the page template menu, however I am unable to add widgets – it still gets the widgets from old contact template.
I hope you can help – I would like to have more templates.
Also, if I want to change the styling of h1, h2 etc. do I need to do edit files or is there a menu I have overlooked?
Many thanks,

Participant@max Adding a new page template can be difficult if you no programming language file. For this you may need to hire a developer. Also it is not a good approach to directly edit the theme file, it is better to make a child theme so that you don’t lose the changes when you update the theme. To change the styling you can use the custom css option within the Theme Options sub-menu inside Appearance.

MemberThanks for your quick reply Sanjip. Is there any plans on adding templates similar to “contact”? Is it a lot of work to make a copy of the contact template and rename it?
Also, I when I create a table there seem to be a horisontal border throughout the grid. Even when I change the css (I use a child file for this), the changes does affect the formatting the usual way: html <table class=”noborder”> and CSS table.noborder {border =”none”;}).
Even when I try a similar way of formatting with <tr> and <td>, nothing happens – at one point one border was removed, not the rest. Is there a way I can format borders I have overlooked?

Participant@max About the template part: yes it will need certain amount of customization. So, for this you will need to hire a developer. About the table part: Can you provide a link to the exact page where you are trying to make this change and I will look into it. Also if you are trying to edit the css, you can do it via Appearance->Theme Options->Design Options Tab->Custom CSS. Write your custom CSS there and click on ‘Save all Changes’. Try this and see if this works for you.
