Hi,
I have the same question but the answer above doesn’t seem to apply to my situation. My homepage has the slider (which I want) but so does my blog page (don’t want it there). But my homepage is a static page, not latest blogposts. So what do I do?

I have Settings – Reading – Front Page Display set to Static Page.
