You mean to display only the blog page in home page ? Yes home page slider will work fine if you select the posts page too. OK no problem if you want to display your blog page then you may select the blog page as a front page. We have three blog page. You may select any one of it from the template at right side of page. (blog image large, blog image medium and full content)

If you want to display particular blog on the front page according to category then its not possible. We have designed our theme this way. Latest post will be displayed accordingly.
