How do I add links in the two column footer area?

I cannot seem to figure out how to make the e-mail addresses for contact LINKS.
This is for the footer area–I have two columns. Pasting links in does not work.
Also, all the words and sentences run together like a paragraph.
I would like to separate them…how can I do that>

I am not speaking of the Copyright area–but the larger Footer area above it

To separate it you can add line break <br> tag or add paragraph <p>your content goes here</p> tag.
