I use the latest version of Attitude Pro on my WordPress site at http://www.theesotericbloom.com and have been hacked twice in the past couple of weeks. When it occurred the top portion of the website (header image and menu) disappeared. Host Gator notified me that they quarantined the header.php file because it was suspicious but they couldn’t determine the exact problem. A backup of the site was uploaded and the site is fine now. If it happens again and the header.php file is problem who can I contact at Theme Horse, what support do you provide and do you have any recommendations for me to prevent this from happening a third time?
Make sure that you have update all the plugins and WordPress to the latest version. Since WordPress version 4.7, 4.7.1 and 4.7.2 had an security issue. So it may you have not update the WordPress before and your site might be hacked.
You can install the security plugins as well to prevent your site as well.
If you got same issue after updating all the plugins and WordPress to the latest version then let us know.
I just received a new email from Host Gator today saying malicious content was found again in my header.php file. I contacted tech support and they said they didn’t see any rogue coding. Nothing has been changed since I last emailed Theme Horse. I am using the newest version of attitude pro and my plugins are up to date. What do I do? The top portion of my site including the menu disappeared 24 hours after I received the warning and a backup of my site had to be uploaded twice. What is wrong?
Hi admin175,
Could you please Email Us your temporary username and password with your ftp credential.
Also can you provide attitude pro zip file which is hacked and causing this issue? We will try to find whether the issue is from our theme.
Don’t send username and password here as this forum is public to everyone.
Thank you!
