Dear Theme Horse,
I am using your beautiful Ambition (free) theme on a project for the Central European area. Here I need a font that includes the Latin CE character set. Unfortunately Hind Light does not. We changed the font to Open Sans Light by hand, which looks nice, but even though officially it contains Latin CE, it does not show “ő” and “ű” the right way on all platforms. I use Mac Safari. If I am logged in to WordPress as admin it shows perfectly on the front end, but if I log out, it does not. The same problem appears on PC Firefox as well.
Could you help me? Would this problem be solved if we upgraded to the Pro version? Thank you for your answer in advance!January 14, 2016 at 11:14 am #41329Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi dora.henger,
We just support fonts but not Latin CE character set. So it needs code customization. In pro version there are a lots of fonts but no latin CE character.
To have a change it, you have to customize the code. Before making changes on the code first create a child theme and then unhook the functions and then only customize the code. The code is inside theme folder-> inc-> functions-> functions.php on
line no 327
. You can add your latin character there. But make a child theme so that while updating to new version your customised code will not be lost.Thank you!

we could not figure out how to do it your way, but we did what was written here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/web-font-type-latin-extended
and it works now! 🙂
Thank you for the great theme!February 11, 2016 at 4:50 am #42484Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi dora.henger,
That’s great. But one thing before making changes in the code first of all you need to create a child theme and then only customize the code. So that while updating to new version you customized code will not be lost and each and every time while updating to new version you need to make same customization.
Adding direct font link on header is not so good practise. Enqueuing is the best method although it does not effect but according to WordPress guidelines this is not allowed.
Thank you!
