Yes, that’s the problem, you can’t see them until you hover because my site’s font must be white to show against the dark background pattern, but the drop-down menu BG doesn’t render in the site’s dark pattern. Anyway it doesn’t matter anymore because at the end of the business day yesterday I had to remove the dark background pattern and perform an emergency make-over of the site.
The dark background patterns included in this theme are not thoroughly integrated, which has caused a big disaster for me. A very light font color is necessary for the dark pattern, so when ALL PIECES of the website don’t render with the dark background, it’s a nightmare–the font doesn’t show, nor does your cursor. I thought I had everything patched, but found SPECTACULARLY that I had not.
Sent an email to 62 people Sunday evening asking them to comment on my first blog article, and announcing my new website business, but no one could fill in the fields to register and leave comments because they couldn’t see the white font against the white fields. When I tested the comments on Sunday everything looked fine because I was logged in as an administrator, so I couldn’t see the white fields that don’t work. I’m extremely disappointed because I worked too hard and spent too much money on stock photos to match the dark background ONLY TO HAVE THE SITE LOOK BROKEN AND AMATEURISH.
I’ve been in and out of Theme Horse support patching areas of my site with CSS because the dark pattern didn’t carry over to certain aspects of the website (testimonial quotes, search box, etc.) for months.
