Hello Dennis,

MagCast theme slider works on posts IDs whereas NewsCard theme works on Latest Post/Categories. Our themes have different features and settings and not similar to each other.
For to set the image according to the MagCast theme you need to regenerate your images, you can use this plugin to regenerate the images.
